The Government Affairs Committee shall monitor, interpret, and provide information on legislation and/or regulations that effect our members. The Committee will assist any Veterans Service Officer with policy/regulatory issues. The Committee will assist any government agency with recommendation/support on legislation and/or policy which is deemed appropriate to the organization.
Responsibilities of Committee • Serve as a liaison between VMW and government entities Responsibilities of Committee Members • Committee Chair: notify participants of meeting time, prepare agenda, monitor progress Qualifications of Committee Members • Have a background/interest in Government and Military/Veteran issues Amount of Time Required Length of Commitment Two year term or as agreed to by the Board Responsible To Board of Directors and Committee Chair
